Society of Professional Journalists Region 11 Conference

The Society of Professional Journalists Inland Southern California is
proudly hosting this year Region 11 Conference from April 15-17 at
the Riviera Resort and Racquet Club in Palm Springs, featuring learning
opportunities for journalists of all ages. Students are welcomed. The
event provides an opportunity to learn and to network. And students will
have a chance to have their portfolios reviews by a professional.

The featured workshops are too numerous to list off but you can view

the workshops planned for the event will be:

* Covering Tribal Issues
* Affirmative Action
* How to conduct a Public Records Audit
* A primer on Water Issues
* How to Follow the Money
* Plagiarism

The conference is an annual event and is held at different locations
throughout Region 11 which includes California, Hawaii, Nevada and
Arizona.

Registration for this year's event is $60 for students, $75 for SPJ
Members and $100 for nonmembers. Registration cost includes the workshops, a pool side opening night reception on Friday, the Mark of Excellence Luncheon on Saturday and a Sunday morning brunch session.
