Beyond the Border: Covering the Immigration Phenomenon through Digital Media

I think you or someone you know might be interested in an upcoming course ICFJ is holding for journalists from across the United States who are interested in improving their digital skills as they cover immigration. Participants (even newbies!) will learn how to create and launch a multimedia story package. Advanced multimedia journalists will get specially tailored training to enhance their coverage. And all participants will learn how to better reach audiences with social media.

The training will be led by award-winning digital media strategists, including the former programming director of Yahoo! Hispanic Americas, Hiram Enriquez, now at Webbmedia Group.

This is an amazing opportunity--and if you don't apply by May 15, you will miss it. The course, including travel to and accommodation in Washington, D.C., is complimentary thanks to generous funding from the Scripps Howard Foundation.

Won't you take a minute to apply or forward this message on to someone who might want to?

Deadline: May 15
Program Dates: July 11-17 (in Washington, D.C.)
