Press Photographers Association of Greater Los Angeles proudly presents
College Photojournalism Day from 10am-3pm at the Buena Vista Library, Community Room, 401 N. Buena Vista St. (near Verdugo Ave.)

Have a team of professionals evaluate your portfolio and receive a written
evaluation. We will project the best three entries. Learn from the best in
Los Angeles. Have lunch with pros that can help you develop methods and
techniques that will hopefully guide you to your first job.

Gerard Burkhart will speak about freelancing in LA.
Armando Brown about his first year at the Orange County Register's Excelsior. Hans Gutknecht on the race for POY. Luis Sinco with the assault of Fallujah. Rick Meyer discusses ethics.

Faculty will be Armando Brown, OC Registers Excelsior; Gerard Burkhart,
photojournalist; Bonnie Burrow, photojournalist; Hans Gutknecht, Los Angeles
Daily News; Ken Lubas, photojournalist; Joel Lugavere, photojournalist, Rick

Only 50 students will be accepted. You must RSVP by April 30th. Bring your
portfolio (all JPG images in one folder) on CD-ROM on May 14th. You do not
need to be a student member of the PPAGLA to attend. The event is free. Free parking, Free lunch. Sessions subject to change.
