You are invited to our December 2006 Photonite on Thursday, December 7th, 2006 sponsored by Digital Railroad, www.digitalrailroad.net. The topic will be “Digital Workflow Solutions” presented by Jon Canfield. George Olson and Chris Beauchamp will also talk briefly about Digital Railroad and how it fits into the digital workflow. We will have door prizes including a 6 month membership in Digital Railroad. The sponsors will also provide food and drink.
Jon Canfield is an expert on organizing digital workflow. He will be speaking on solutions to the many varied issues around photographic workflow in a digital world, specifically in regards to work done by photojournalists and documentary photographers.
Jon Canfield is a photographer, writer, and instructor living in the Pacific Northwest. Jon is a frequent contributor to Shutterbug, PC Photo, Outdoor Photographer, and Digital Photo Pro magazines, and the author of 5 books on digital photography topics.
George Olson, former Director of Photography of Sunset magazine, began his career as a newspaper photographer, then moved to San Francisco where he was based as an editorial freelancer for 20 years. He is now West Coast Sales Manager of Digital Railroad. Since 1991, he has served on the faculty of the Missouri University Photo Workshop, and he has taught three photography workshops through Fotovision.org. He has served as a judge twice for Pictures of the Year; also for Best of Photojournalism; Women’s Conference on Photojournalism; and the Western Magazine Publishers Maggie awards.

Christopher Beauchamp is Midwest Sales Manager with Digital Railroad, the premier application for managing, marketing and selling imagery using the same technology that powers major agencies around the world – now available on a local basis. Digital Railroad powers the archives of over 750 photographers and 35 agencies in 55 countries
Christopher is also actively involved in the local Chicago community, holding a position on the board of ASPP (American Society of Picture Professionals) Midwest Chapter and a leadership position with the Museum Council of the Museum of Contemporary Photography – an internationally renowned collection of fine art photography. He has been a speaker at numerous events including IAPP (International Association of Panoramic Photographers) and NANPA (North American Nature Photographers Association).
